Cross on over the bridge and see some of what life is like here: (Interlaken)

Neuchatel Market Tuesday and Saturday mornings:

the fruit and flower stands are the most colorful

hiking opportunities in the area

There is a great river side hike within 30 minutes of here. It's called the Gorges de l'Areuse. We went with some of the other French students on a class outing.

Missionary Fellowship time in our apartment:

Spring didn't start until May but these flowers were worth waiting for:

An illustration from our life:
We have a little 6 inch balcony where we planted
some flowers March 1st. It was months before we got the first buds and another month before the flowers came out.
French Studies are also like that. We keep watering and waiting for our ability to grow, but it takes time, and it's not easy. Thanks for your thoughts as we grow in our ability so we can be more useful in our work in Africa.

Boat Trip Across Lake Neuchatel to Morat (May 2)

The views from the cat walk wall that surounds Morat (Murten)

In May we were invited by the town of Neuchatel to visit their sister town, Aarau, in the German speaking part of Switzerland. It was an effort to draw the French and German cantons together. That day we noticed the cultural differences between the two sides.

These pictures are from a weekend trip to visit our friends just across the boarder in France:

A day trip to Bern, where the African Embasies are:

There really are Bears in Bern! The surprisingly boring Kuku clock
We didn't take many pictures in Bern

were a drab greenish gray.
A decorative rain spout on the cathedral

One day we took some time to go to an air show with gliders and parachutes:
