| Isifou was proud to show us that they give their sheep injections, but I have no idea what injections they were giving. | Once the sun was out strong, all the sheep started walking in circles, waiting to be let out to eat. |

| From their pen we made a 2 hour walking loop through lots of green pastures for the sheep to eat up. High grass also meant lots of ticks! | It was interesting to watch the interaction of sheep and their shepherd, it helped me understand some of the Biblical analogies better. Video below. |

In this video there is one shepherd at the front and one at
the back to make sure the slow ones don't get left behind. Notice the baby
lamb jumping around near the back of the line. |

This is the front half of the line of sheep shown above. It's difficult to
see the leading shepherd, but you can see how close the sheep follow each
other. (MOV01896.MPG) |

While Andy was out with the shepherds, Kristen was back at the farm house cooking up rice and beans for lunch. Cooking over a fire was hot enough, but this time it was also in the hot sun! |

| By 1PM the sheep were back in their pen and we had lunch. Men eat from their own bowl... | ...and women eat from their own bowl. We used plates since we are not used to eating with our fingers like they have grown up doing - it burns our fingers when we try. |
