This year the end of Ramadan festivities came the same week as
Thanksgiving.
We enjoyed celebrating with our friends in the village.

The other turkey got divided into about 12 different piles, wrapped in leaves and sent off to the chief, friends and families we know in the village. |

We decided to try deep frying the turkey in peanut oil since we don't have an oven. |

Andy tied up the turkey with wire to rotate and get it out of the hot oil. It was done in about 40 minutes. |

Since the oil was already hot after the turkey, we made fries from yams. |

We had deep fried turkey, yam fries with tomatoe sauce and green beans. |
